St Malo Ferry Routes
Two routes are operated from St Malo to the UK, one to Portsmouth and a second to Poole.
St Malo Ferry to Portsmouth
Brittany Ferries operates up to 7 weekly sailings each way between St Malo and Portsmouth. The crossing takes an average of 9 to 11 hours and cabins are compulsory for all overnight sailings. Due to the popularity of the route you can pick up great fares, with tickets starting from as low as £130 one-way including a vehicle or £49 if travelling as a foot passenger.

St Malo Ferry to Poole
Condor Ferres it the only ferry operator on the crossing to Poole from St Malo and offers up to 4 weekly sailings during the summer months. The journey time is shorter at just 6 hours for direct ferries (indirect services are also available), but prices tend to be higher than for the Portsmouth crossing. Expect to pay around £60+ each way for a foot passenger fare and around £300 return including a vehicle.

Facilities at St Malo Ferry Port
St Malo Ferry Port offers numerous facilities for passengers including a cafe, baby changing area, tourist information point, free WiFi and showers. Although muzzled dogs kept on a lead are allowed in the main port area they’re not permitted in any terminal buildings..
Free shuttle services are provided for foot passengers, together with specially adapted minibuses for any people with limited mobility.
The car park can be found in front of the St Malo ferry terminal building and is around £15 for 24 hours (free parking is allowed, but only for the first 20 minutes). If you’ve got an early morning sailing booked it’s permitted that you can park your caravan or motorhome in the vehicle check-in lanes.

Getting to St Malo
St Malo Ferry Port is located off the D126 and is surrounded by an extensive road network, making it easy to return to after your holiday in France. The Port address is St Malo Ferries, Gare Maritime du Naye, Brittany, St Malo 35400
🚗 By car: Join the D137 in the direction of St Malo and then take the D126 towards the Gare Maritime du Naye. When you’re on the D126 follow the signs for ‘Terminal Ferry’ to access both the Brittany Ferries and Condor terminals.
🚈 By train: St Malo train station is around a 25 – 30 minute walk from the terminal, or you can take a taxi for about £7. Rail services are available on a high speed line to Paris and Rennes.

You can book a ferry from either Portsmouth or Poole to get to St Malo from the UK.
