During the summer school holidays there is an additional ferry each Friday, departing Dover at 23:59 and arriving in Dunkirk at 02:59. During this period the 02:00 sailing also runs each Sunday and there’s an 08:00 sailing each Saturday.

During the summer school holidays there’s an extra ferry each Friday and Saturday, departing Dunkirk at 22:00 and arriving in Dover at 23:00. During this period the 18:00 and 23:59 sailings also run each Saturday and there’s an 08:00 sailing each Sunday.

Facilities on the Dover to Dunkirk Route

DFDS use 3 UK flagged vessels – Dover, Dunkerque and Delft Seaways – for the Dover-Dunkirk crossing.

The sister ships can carry up to 1,000 passengers while cruising at just over 20 knots. Onboard you’ll find a selection of restaurants serving everything from fish and chips to vegetarian options, the Lighthouse Cafe (open during busier crossings) and a duty free shop.

Families are well catered for with a Pirates’ Island play area on deck 6, complete with a companion app to hunt for Jack’s treasure around the ship. Free WiFi is available to keep you connected during the sailing, while access to premium lounges can help to make your crossing even smoother.

Wheelchair-accessible toilets can be found on decks 6 and 7, with disabled access available on/off each of the ships.
