One route is operated between Roscoff and the southern coast of England, which is the Roscoff-Plymouth ferry crossing.
Roscoff Ferry to Plymouth
Roscoff is almost directly across the English Channel from Plymouth, which means the crossing can be done in as little as 5.5 hours. Brittany Ferries run up to 7 weekly sailings each way during the high season and 2 weekly sailings during the low season. Foot passengers are allowed on the service and you can pick up tickets from around £45 one-way, rising to £155 if you’re travelling with a vehicle. You’ll also need to budget for a cabin if booking an overnight sailing.

Facilities at Roscoff Ferry Port
Roscoff Ferry Port boasts a range of facilities for passengers including a bar and cafe, tourist information area, public toilets, a baby change area and departure lounge. Shower facilities can also be used if needed for an additional fee of €2. Shuttle bus services connect the terminal to the ships and are free to use for foot passengers (specially adapted vehicles are available for those with limited mobility).
As long as dogs are muzzled and kept on a lead you can take them in all areas around the port.
Parking at Roscoff Ferry Port is free and you can park for a maximum of 2 days in front of the main passenger terminal. There’s also an overnight parking area for caravans and motorhomes.

Getting to Roscoff
Roscoff Ferry Terminal is just off the D58, which gives great access to the N12 express road. The Port address is Brittany Ferries Port de Bloscon, Brittany, Roscoff 29680
🚗 By car: Pick up the D58 south of Roscoff and follow it until you reach the signs for ‘Port de Bloscon’. The Brittany Ferries terminal is well signposted and is in the main port area.
🚈 By train: Roscoff doesn’t have a train station and so you’ll need to travel to Morlaix, which is the nearest station and is around 16 miles from the terminal. A bus service is available between Roscoff and Morlaix, or you can get a taxi. Morlaix train station is well served and has direct services to both Brest and Paris.

Check-in closes 45 minutes before the sailing time for passengers. If you’re travelling with a pet you’ll need to check-in 90 minutes before departure.
The average crossing time from Roscoff to Plymouth is 6 hours for daytime sailings and up to 13 hours for overnight crossings.
Free parking (for customers only) is available for up to 48 hours in front of the main passenger terminal at the port. It’s an open car park and owners are advised that vehicles are left at your risk.
Brittany Ferries allows foot passengers on ferries between Roscoff and Plymouth, with fares starting at around £45 each way.
The crossing between Plymouth and Roscoff can be rough at times, so you may want to consider booking a private cabin for the sailing if you suffer particularly badly with travel sickness.
