Caen Ferry Port boasts a Bureau de change (useful for changing back any euros), toilet facilities, a cafe/bar and free WiFi for passengers. Shuttle buses are provided for foot passengers and the port also has specially adapted vehicles for people with limited mobility. Dogs are permitted everywhere in the port area as long as the dog is muzzled.
Free parking is available in the port car park for up to 2 hours, with a day charge capped at €8. Alternatively you can park your vehicle in the check-in lanes overnight if you’ve got a crossing to Portsmouth booked for the morning.

Getting to Caen

🚗 By car: The port can be easily accessed via the N13 from the west and N158 from the south. When you approach Caen follow the signs for ‘Car Ferry’ and remember the port is around 10 miles north of the city.
🚈 By train: Located in the city centre, Caen train station (Gare de Caen) is around a 20 minute taxi ride from the ferry port. Direct rail services run between the station and destinations including Paris, Cherbourg and Le Mans.
