One route is operated between Le Havre and the south coast of England, which is the Le Havre-Portsmouth ferry crossing.
Le Havre Ferry to Portsmouth
Brittany Ferries offer up to 5 weekly sailings each way on the route, with the crossing taking 6 hours from Portsmouth. The return journey from Le Havre is usually on an overnight ferry and can be up to 11 hours in total. You’ll need to book a cabin for any overnight sailings, but there are a range of options to choose from depending on your budget. Prices start at around £90 one-way (excluding a cabin) and foot passengers are not currently permitted to travel on the service.

Facilities at Le Havre Ferry Port
At Le Havre Ferry Port there are fairly limited facilities including vending machines, a baby change area, public toilets and a departure lounge with seating. The terminal building itself is wheelchair-accessible and there are also wheelchairs available on-site if needed. Dogs are permitted in all areas of Le Havre port as long as they’re kept muzzled.
Although the port has a car park for both long and short-term stays, the number of spaces is limited.

Getting to Le Havre
Le Havre Ferry Terminal is located just outside of the city centre and is easily accessed from the major road network. The Port address is Le Havre Ferries (Terminal de la Citadelle), Normandy, Le Havre 76600
🚗 By car: If you’re travelling from Paris use the A13/A131 motorway and follow it on to the N282 near Mayville. From other directions use the A29 motorway in the direction of Le Havre and follow the signs for ‘Terminal de Citadelle’.
🚈 By train: The SNCF train station at Le Havre is just a 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal and a free shuttle bus service can also be used if preferred. Rail services from the station include high speed trains to Rouen, Marseille and Lyon, together with regional trains to Yvetot and Paris.
